The Cranberries-Roses (2012) 320Kbit(mp3) DMT Ierland Rock Label: Cooking Vinyl http://www.cranberries.com/ Roses (2012) http://www.musicmeter.nl/album/234986 Ruim tien jaar na Wake Up and Smell The Coffee komt The Cranberries op 13 februari 2012 met een nieuw studioalbum: Roses. Tracks: 1. Conduct 2. Tomorrow 3. Fire & Soul 4. Raining In My Heart 5. Losing My Mind 6. Schizophrenic Playboy 7. Waiting In Walthamstow 8. Show Me 9. Astral Projections 10. So Good 11. Roses Deze review wordt u aangeboden door: DUTCH MOVIE THEATER

The Cranberries - Studio Discography (1993-2012) [FLAC] Albums: 1993 - Everybody Else is Doing It, So Why Can't We? (Complete Sessions)* 1994 - No Need to Argue (Original Version) 1996 - To the Faithful Departed (Expaned European Edition) 1999 - Bury the Hatchet (Original Version) 2001 - Wake Up and Smell the Coffee (US Version) 2012 - Roses (Deluxe 2 CD) Combining the melodic jangle of post-Smiths indie guitar pop with the lilting, trance-inducing sonic textures of late-'80s dream pop and adding a slight Celtic tint, the Cranberries became one of the more successful groups to emerge from the pre-Brit-pop U.K. indie scene of the early '90s. Led by vocalist Dolores O'Riordan, whose keening, powerful voice is the most distinctive element of the group's sound, the group initially made little impact in the United Kingdom. It wasn't until the lush ballad "Linger" became an American hit in 1993 that the band also achieved mass success in the U.K. Following the success of "Linger," the Cranberries quickly became international stars, as both their 1993 debut album, Everybody Else Is Doing It, So Why Can't We?, and its 1994 follow-up, No Need to Argue, sold millions of copies and produced a string of hit singles. By the time of their third album, 1996's To the Faithful Departed, they had added distorted guitars to their sonic palette and attempted to make more socially significant music, which resulted in a downturn in the band's commercial fortunes. During the fall of 1996, the group canceled its Australian and European tour, sparking another round of rumors about whether O'Riordan was about to launch a solo career. In 1999, the group released Bury the Hatchet, and in 2003, shortly after the release of a greatest-hits compilation, Stars: The Best of 1992-2002, the Cranberries officially declared that they were taking a break. This finally gave O'Riordan the time she needed to work on her long-talked-about solo album, and Are You Listening hit shelves in 2007. In 2009, O'Riordan released her second solo album, No Baggage. Around the same time, the Cranberries reunited for a North American tour that continued throughout Europe in 2010. Several live albums also appeared in 2010. In 2011, the band began work on a new album in Toronto with longtime producer Street. The resulting album, Roses, appeared in March 2012. *Special thanks to KitLope for his rip.

It was the band's most successful album, and has sold about 17 million copies worldwide. It contains the band's most successful single to date, "Zombie". The album's mood is darker than that on Everybody Else Is Doing It, So Why Can't We?. It shows a more mature performance by lyricist and vocalist Dolores O'Riordan, writing about war, death, love and disappointment. Her voice is clearer, without the previous album's double and triple voice layering. In some of the songs, the band decided to take on a rockier and heavier side, using distortion and increasing the volume. The song "Yeat's Grave" [sic] is about William Butler Yeats, and quotes one of his poems, No Second Troy. The hit song "Zombie", written by lead singer Dolores O'Riordan, is according to her about the IRA bombings in 1993 that resulted in the death of two children. Tracks: 1. Originally planned to be released in early 2004[4] the recordings for the follow-up to Wake Up and Smell the Coffee were scrapped after the band decided to go their separate ways.[5][6] After a six-year hiatus, The Cranberries announced their intention to record a new album during their 2009–2010 reunion tour. The title Roses was announced on The Cranberries website, on 24 May 2011. The album deals with relationships, both romantic love and love in other forms. During an interview with Billboard magazine in October, lead vocalist Dolores O'Riordan revealed that the album will be released in February 2012.[3] On 21 July, guitarist Noel Hogan suggested the possibility of releasing an EP before the release of Roses.[9] No plans are confirmed to this date. There will be two rock songs on the album. Tracks: 1. "Conduct" 2. "Tomorrow" 3. "Fire & Soul" 4. "Raining In My Heart" 5. "Losing My Mind" 6. "Schizophrenic Playboys" 7.
